If you have an android phone (that is basically everything else that isn’t an iPhone, blackberry or windows phone), I have designed an app to help you with your risk assessments.
You will have noticed that since 2005, many of our publications have included Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) as a means of assessing the postural risk that certain techniques and pieces of equipment might put onto our staff.
If you have ever tried to put it into practice in your own area, you might have been put off by all the tables and cross referencing and wondered why it was ever called “Rapid” in the first place.
Now though, with my app, all of those tables etc are taken care of in the background. After taking a photo, you can simply compare the picture with the diagrams to select a score for each body part and the complicated stuff takes care of itself.
Download it free from the Play store by searching for “Rapid Entire Body Assessment” or click the link below. Unfortunately, I cannot programme in C# or Swift so it is not yet available for the iPhone, but if anyone out there knows how to do this, let me know and there might be a joint project in it:

Each month there will be a sponsor for the app. This month it is SK Handling so please tap the link in the app and view Steve’s site. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact me.
