A refusal by nurses to lift a 15-stone A&E patient at a Blackpool hospital has prompted an apology from local NHS bosses.
This story was reported in the Nursing Times. The response from readers was unanimous and extensive. Although not all the facts are reported, it appears that the trust apologised for nurses carrying out their role in the fashion to which they were trained.
