The MHRA have reported a warning regarding all University bath hoists manufactured by Unihoist Ltd.
Neither of the two versions available had safety devices fitted to stop the occupants falling during use prior to January 2009.
Unihoist has been unable to trace all University bath hoists issued before January 2009, especially where they may have been passed on to second or subsequent users. So if you have one this notice may be of interest to you as you will need to contact Unihoist to arrange delivery of a safety device. The instructions for use have also been updated.
