Have you noticed how popular Linked-In is among our community lately? If you are not sure what Linked-In is, it is a social networking site for business and professional matters.
I have tried a few of them over the years but Linked In is the only one that I have found to be beneficial. All of the others I have found to be annoying. It can get quite irritating when

someone feels the need to tell you there every movement of the day as they complete each step. I tried Facebook and was bombarded with messages like, “Going to pub tonight.” Big deal... I really needed to know that. “Help my sausages are on fire !!!” Well no wonder if you are sending messages while you are supposed to be cooking.
If you have ever had anything to do with Facebook, you will know what I mean. However, Linked In seems to be different. The majority of people use it as it was intended. To inform and
keep everyone up to date with your group issues. I am a member of a number of groups and have, at the time of writing 624 contacts, all of whom I think, form part of the 1429 people who subscribe to this newsletter.
The groups I belong to include:- Moving and Handling People UK, Paediatric Manual Handling Specialists, Safe Patient Handling, Yorkshire manual handling and now added to the list is a brand new group for members of the National Back Exchange.
It is a great way to see what is going on. To connect with me on Linked In, please view my profile and send me an invitation.
