A man in Canberra was arrested for being drunk in charge of a motorised wheelchair. He was so drunk, 6-times over the limit, that he was asleep at his controls on a four-lane highway, causing other road users to swerve.

Another case in the UK a couple of weeks later was reported when a man was refused a drink because he had already had two bottles of budweiser and pub staff refused him a third because he was in an electric wheelchair.
