Mangar International have launched a web site which is aimed at moving and handling healthcare professionals. They call it a micro site but it is not that small when you follow all the links in there and it is a good resource for moving and handling co-ordinators to get information from.
There is a news section where you can get information relating to healthcare issues (though it has to be said that it doesn’t rival this newsletter - not that I’m biased or anything). The patient care section is split into 4 categories; bariatric, elderly care, disabilities and paediatrics. The products page predictably describes the range of Mangar products for bathing as well as moving and handling in general. There is also a job vacancies page which surprisingly does not focus on Mangar, but has job offers from Gloucester to Surrey for OTs, care managers etc. There is a link to another Mangar micro site named Care Home Focus.
