The Trust is a Smoke Free site and smoking will not be permitted by anyone within
the premises or grounds.
The Trust require an experienced Moving and Handling Trainer with good teaching/training
skills.
You will play a vital role in the Health & Safety Department, in developing
the Trust’s approach to Moving & Handling and providing expert advice on the selection
and procurement of moving & handling equipment.
You will be able to use your own initiative
and manage your own workload, but work as a part of a small multi-disciplinary team.
You will have good communication skills and be able to deal with members of staff
at all levels and with external bodies.
Key roles for this post are: Training development
& provision of moving and handling training for Trust staff; advise on policy development
including Bariatrics; give specialist advice to other departments and advise on the
selection and procurement of moving & handling equipment.
Some prior knowledge of
Health and Safety and Risk Management issues would be of benefit though not essential,
as well as previous experience in a Healthcare setting.
This post requires travelling
between both the Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital at Hastings therefore you must
be able to travel between sites.
