For 2010 I have dramatically improved the online training for instructors. I also have it hosted now by myself so the download times are much improved. Many hours have been spent on rewriting code to ensure that more control is available.

Last year, you only had three attempts before being locked out of the system. This was designed so that I could be
automatically alerted to any who was having difficulty. I could then contact them to see what was going wrong prior to re-instating their student status. This however, annoyed more people than it helped, so this year I have introduced a self marking system prior to your submissions which means that it is at your own discretion when you contact me for assistance.
Another new feature is the optional peer assessment. Many people choose online training as a method of refreshing themselves because of the cost factor. However, while they could prove and improve their theoretical knowledge, the down side was the fact that their clinical skills remained unproven.
The introduction of peer assessment provides the opportunity to prove practical skills also. This can be done through swapping favours with other instructors by each providing the other with assessment using the tools available on the course, or by contacting myself. If you use any of my tutors, there will be an additional cost of £175 + expenses. However, I will do my best to link you with someone in a similar situation which would be of mutual benefit, therefore no additional cost or you could make your own arrangements, and remember, it is optional, it complements the certificate you will still receive from myself.
How much does it cost? £85 per person, the same as last year.
