I ma sure you are familiar with the newsletters otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this now. However, have you ever took the time to look through previous issues? For instance, do you remember the Arnold Swarzenegger story where, as the governor for California he suggested that nurses should lift patients manually?
Or maybe you can remember the Massai barefoot trainers (MBTs) which purportedly benefits people suffering from back pain. Many of the issues come with caption competitions. And of course the stories come from around the globe. I have produced stories from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Eire, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Denmark, Bahamas, Usa, Canada, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates,
Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. According to my calculations, that is 28 countries. Truly, as my slogan at the top of every page confirms, uniting the world of safe patient handling.
The first issue was sent out almost 3 years ago to 150 selected individuals. Since then, the subscription list has escalated to just shy of 1400 people from 18 countries.
I’m always on the lookout for stories so please send your news releases and anecdotes to my usual e-mail address.
