Well you guessed it, the first story this month has to be about my recent appointment as Nordic Care Services (NCS) Training & Education Specialist. NCS was formed in 1998 and became a limited company in 2002. The philosophy for the company was based on the fact that Sonja Waara-Conway (then founding managing director) noted that falls prevention appeared to be low down the list of priorities in the UK as compared to her native Sweden.

In 2007, NCS was acquired by the Mountway Organisation, who continue to use NCS as its education wing.

That brings us down to today. Feb 28th 2011. NCS have decided to use my services to in order to assist them to achieve their aims regarding how their educational model is to be promoted. And I don’t mind saying so myself, that they have a good eye for quality.

My e-learning is part of the deal as are my other electronic publications.  More on that will follow in the coming months as

we have some exciting projects on the horizon. New DVDs, New E-learning courses and other training materials will becoming available. CPD accreditation is of course something with which Nordic have prided themselves on over the years and this will of course be continued.

All said and done, watch this space for some exciting future developments in the world of moving and handling.
