Do you have any Oxford disposable slings? If you have you may be entitled to a refund from Joerns Healthcare. The MHRA have issued a medical device alert and they have been withdrawn due to the fabric tearing without any warning. The sling can become damaged during use and when this occurs, the carer will not be aware of it until the patient falls through the resulting gap.

The MHRA have said that all of these slings must be traced, the labels cut off and sent back to Joerns Healthcare for a refund. Any unopened packs should not be opened but Joerns will collect them.
