An 86 year old man fell down a flight of 8 stairs while strapped into a wheelchair.  The 228 bedded care home where he stayed, failed to provide adequate supervision or to reduce risks to an acceptable level.

Alfred “stan” Catherwood received broken bones in his face and neck as a result of the incident. The care home was fined $3,500.
