A five day conference in Safe Patient Handling is taking place in Florida, USA in March-April 2009.
The point of the conference is to provide delegates with cutting edge research and best practice in the art of moving people safely. The conference objectives are to:
Identify three best practices for patient care ergonomics.
Assess technological solutions
for safe patient handling and movement.
Describe three ergonomic hazards common in
patient care settings.
Use effective strategies to educate direct care providers,
students, and administrators about patient care ergonomics.

Recognising that Britain is leading the way in this field, the event organisers have invited some of our most well known and distinguished trainers in the form of, Philippa Bromsgrove? If you book before 27th Feb 2009 the cost is $940. If that is too much, you can book the three middle days which forms the main part of the conference for $500. If you managed to book it when the cost of the $ was two to the £ you will be happy. At todays exchange rate the cost in £s is £590.60 & £314.15.
