Southern Cross have always been a forward thinking company. Recently, they opened an internet cafe. What has this to do with healthcare? you might ask. Well where better to open it than in one of their dining rooms for the use of their residents to contact family and friends who live out of the area and cannot visit as often as they would like.
They have put out a request for local internet savvy people to pop in and spend an hour or so with the residents to help them become familiar with the idea and show them how to access their e-mails.
