The number of workplace accidents fell in 2010, according to Guernsey's Health and Safety Executive.
Injuries sustained at work were recorded if they involved more than three days absence. In 2010 a total of 399 injuries were reported, a drop from 430 in 2009, and the second lowest total reported since 2002.
Manual handling remained the
main cause of serious workplace injuries with 194 reported during 2010.
The most injuries were sustained in the construction (83) and wholesale and retail distribution (86) industries.
The Guernsey Occupational Safety and Health Association said there had been "a gradual improvement" but that there was "no room for complacency".
The association was formed in 2004 to provide information to Guernsey businesses about workplace safety and health.
